The Exhibition
At the Governor's Gallery through December 1, 2007
This exhibition, which was on display through December 1, 2007, at the Governor's Gallery, featured the work of the 2007 recipients of the Governor's Awards for Excellence in the Arts including individual artists Bill Fegan of Raton for performing arts; James Koehler of Santa Fe for weaving; Verne L. Lucero from Quemado for traditional arts, tinwork; and Evelyn Rosenberg of Albuquerque for sculpture. Also represented in the major contributor to the arts category are William Field of Santa Fe; New Mexico Symphony Orchestra of Albuquerque; and Fred Robert Wilson of Albuquerque.
Presented along side the Governor's Awards for Excellence in the Arts is the Allan Houser Memorial Award given by the Houser family. The 2007 year's recipient of the Houser award is artist activist Ed Grothus of Los Alamos.
